The Drumming Experience of OneSelf (2017/18)
"The Drumming Experience of OneSelf is a powerful, emotional work. A questioning of cultural identity and purpose.
The percussion and Tonny's movements, joined with his composure, gave the piece a meditative quality and a feeling of intimacy within the space" (Philip Bedwell, Performance and Live Artist )

Critics' Reviews:
The O Syndrome (2014)
"Up next is performance artist Tonny A, who presents a fusion of movement and spoken word against a video montage that includes the 2011 London riots and a discourse on immigration by the PM. The subject matter, about the victimisation of the socially vulnerable, is an important point – but one that gets lost under the inevitable veil of awkwardness that falls when a performer decides to take off his clothes...." (Samantha Whitaker, Resolution 2014!)
"Performance artist Tonny A’s The O Syndrome couldn’t be more different. I’m perplexed about what the ‘O’ stands for, but that’s only the start of it. The confusion begins with Tonny’s story of arriving in London competing against the loud backdrop of David Cameron pronouncing on immigration policy..." (Lindsey Winship, Resolution 2014!)
"The second piece, The O Syndrome, choreographed and performed by Tonny A, was the most overtly political. With live music and video clips on a gigantic screen across the back wall of the Robin Howard Dance Theatre,The O Syndrome is an intersectional and anguished plea against welfare and immigration reforms by the current Conservative-led coalition Government. It begins with a misdirect (...)" (David Ralf, Public Reviews)
"The second performance, Tonny A's 'The O Syndrome', couldn't have been more different but equally intriguing. Broken, disjointed movement and an erratic accompaniment of music and video, including David Cameron and George Osborne demanding welfare reform and strict immigration controls bombarded us(...)" (Adam Lucy, FixMyWeave Magazine)
